It is officially summer! Now that I’m back in PA and our Denver adventure is behind us, I’m looking back\ at some of our former patriotic shop displays.
(In case you didn’t know, my daughter and I were in Denver so she could train at a ballet academy there.)

Gosh, these were kinda cute! I love this navy blue dresser. Really feeling the summer vibes and I am missing all of the furniture painting and setting up displays! Old toys can be a rusty alternative to gardening items. But both are good. I really need to find a booth somewhere soon!

Last year I found these adorable little “firework” stems… I think they were made from dried flowers/herbs. Maybe echancea ?? They were so cute painted red, white, and blue! I also love using blue and white ceramic/pottery items.

Blue Willow china mixes well in a summer tablescape.

.This flag stand was one of my favorite centerpieces. I found this in a “Hand crafted” vendor mall for retailers only.

These wood cut-out stars would be on the easier side vs. the flag stand to make. Both are fun!

While this piece was mass produced, I remember string art being a very popular craft in the 1970’s.

Sometimes keeping it simple is best!

This is about the extent of my craftiness! A patriotic garland that I actually made! The star was from the hand crafted vendor mall for retailers.

How cute are these firecrackers? Another project idea for summer!

I purchased this for the shop in the same hand crafted vendor mall. It was just raw wood and I painted a couple of red and blue layers on it… made a great front porch piece.

This red tin pitcher was tall and made a great place to arrange vintage flags. Always keep a tall vessel on hand!

Definitely a summer display and a little more subtle. Not as “in your face” but just a hint of red, white, and blue.

Sublte may be more appropritate this year. I must admit that this summer may not be as joyful due to much unrest in parts of the world and in the U.S. But I’m going to keep enjoying my immediate surroundings and pray for a good and peaceful outcome. I put my hope in my Creator.

I hope you have been inspired by some of our past patriotic displays and may you all have a safe and happy summer, too!
